The aim of this book for me was to showcase Austin as a growing metropolitan area. I used this book to show how in many ways Austin is still small but at the same time big. To me, Austin is in a point of it's life as a city, where it has to find it's culture and hold on to it. As it grows into a world class international city, it should never leave its roots behind.
